The program focuses primarily on perception and language acquisition, the syntactic and semantic processing of speech, the relation between semantics and cognition, the logical structure of language and the epistemological and conceptual foundations of its study, the computational analysis of language and the relation between the different disciplines of Cognitive Science.

The CCiL Master has three different branches: Psychology (Models cognitius de Processament del Llenguatge), Linguistics (Teoria Gramatical i Processament Lingüístic) and Philosophy (Lògica i Filosofía).

- Doctoral programme in Behavioral Evaluation and Measurement

A large number of psychology professionals and researchers currently work in the evaluation and measurement of behavior, either as members of research groups or with companies that need trained specialists in this field. According to the American Psychological Association (APA), the development of instruments and techniques has been one of the most important contributions to society made by psychology because it has improved psychological practices in all ambits. At the same time, the way that research is reviewed in Psychology (e.g. quality criteria, instructions for authors, etc.) emphasizes that behavioral measurement is a highly complex field that requires the development of reliable, valid and standardized instruments. It is, therefore, a complex field of fundamental and increasing importance. Proof of this is the creation in recent years of national and international associations and the burgeoning number of publications in the field of psychological evaluation and measurement.

The doctoral programme in Behavioral Evaluation and Measurement of the URV’s Department of Psychology provides research training in this leading field by researchers who are nationally and internationally renowned in their respective specialist areas.
