By selecting orthographic similarity it is possible to calculate the lexical similarity between pairs of words following Van Orden's adaptation of Weber's formula. It also calculates the Levenshtein distance and a normalized Levenshtein index.
The lists can be copied and pasted directly from other programs such as Microsoft Excel, even selecting cells through different columns. The application will automatically delete any strange characters before searching.
If the number of words entered is odd, the last word will be deleted.
The application considers accented letters different from unaccented ones (e.g.: 'ábaco' is not identical to 'abaco'). If you want them to be considered as the same, just enter the words without special characters.
